Hey Guys!

My machine is in great condition-probably a 9.5 out of 10. Anyway, I need some  help with re-soldering the two wire leads coming from the motor and going to the lamp socket under the visor.

Due to age, both wires had deteriorated at the point of solder behind the bulb.  Fortunately, they both had broken off cleanly and just need to be re-soldered.  However, I do not recall which wire went to which post. Does is matter? Logic and my understanding of electricity tells me it doesn't but I just want to make sure. Also, how much needs to be skinned in order to solder?

If you want to solder it , it dosnt matter the polarity.... As long as it dosnt touch the metal case.. And good luck finding a new lamp holder if that is what you decide

It is an easy job, after you clean the old solder out, there is actually holes in the socket and the wire threads through, comes out nice, I did many. You can gently turn and get the disc out without having to deal with the pressure of the springs, it comes out nice, good luck.
