This weekend just gone I decided to give my Kirby a bit of TLC because it did need a few minor things doing to it, which have now been sorted.
I got for it, new headlight bulb, two new belts, pack of nine bags and some autosol aluminium polish.
I also laundered the outer permanent bag in the washer. I gave it a good old polish, took me about 45 minutes to do just the rug nozzle, I am quite pleased at how it brought it up. I think it will need more polishing but I guess it is ok for now.

Here is a before pic of the headlight hood, it is very dull, as you can see.
I forgot to take a picture of the entire Kirby but the headlight hood pretty much summons it up.

After

Working headlight, got it from halfords, it was £2.99 for a pack of two bulbs, they are 12 volt 21 watt, I did by a 12 volt 5 watt bulb first but it was too dim, after speaking to another collector he gave me the correct spec.

Too sum up...

I think I will be giving it another polish sometime this week, I just feel it is necessary.
I think it looks a bit more presentable now, it works great, I polished the motor shaft so it squeeks a but now, haha.

Very nice Alex I think it's well presentable did you hand polish or machine polish? either way it's done the job

here's two Legend 11 I brought last month from E bay cost me £37 plus £12 P+P for the pair of them, listed as spares or repair when they turned up they were filthy but mechanically fine they just needed some TLC wish I took a photo before I cleaned them so I could show you but so far here's the two after cleaning and one polish each.

I hand polished it but would come up nicer with a machine polisher.
I did use the kirby floor polisher and the autosol to polish the main rug nozzel and it came up really nice, it didn't scratch it at all it just left it with a nice shine, I did read on the autosol tube that for mirror finish metals use autosol super fine, I may need to find that now. :P
