Hello All,

First time poster here after years of lurking. I have always wanted to get myself a Kirby and I'm drawn to the Legend II in red as it closely resembles the Classic III we had when I was younger.

My question for the Kirby guys is whether or not this is a reasonable price and would you trust this seller's claims of "refurbished"?

Thank you all,

Garrett

Hi & Welcome!

The cord is a replacement, as stated above. the original would've been maroon to match the trim of the Legend II.

The only other issue I see is on the back, the little orange cover for the POWER indicater light is missing.

Other than that, it looks like a good deal! Happy KIRBYING!

(Hopefully John doesn't see that!

Thanks Ben! I know with eBay you're always taking a risk just because you can't see it and hear it run in person. It certainly looks like it's been well cared for. Who knows? I may pull the trigger here in a second. The black cord is not a deal breaker.

My vacuum shop in town is asking $150 for a trade in model they have and they didn't seem too keen on buffing it to a nice shine. I want my Kirby to shimmer!

Did you end up purchasing the first one? If so, that wasn't a bad deal. If not, I don't see any decent Heritage/Legend IIs on eBay at the moment. $150 is way too much, especially if the metal is dull. My first Kirby was a Heritage II  bought off eBay for $80 including shipping. Don't pay anything above that unless you have a complete set of attachments or it's in close to mint condition. Thankfully those models were both very popular and reliable, so they pop up on the internet quite often. You'll probably find one in the next few weeks. The first Kirby is always exciting!

You're better off with the first one, attachments for the Legend II are everywhere! If you have a local Kirby distributor, they likely have a set in the back!

Are you really going to pay an extra $90 for grime, tarnish, and some attachments?

bagintheback----I just saw your reply. I did get the Legend II. It was a Buy It Now for $60 and I offered $50 and the seller took it!

I thought $18 shipping was very reasonable given some of the $80+ numbers I have been seeing. Hopefully that doesn't mean he's just going to wrap it in cellophane and send it on its way.
