The Legend II is a wonderful vacuum cleaner -- my favorite of the post-500-series machines. It's not so heavy and trouble-prone as the later models with all the auto-drive transmission problems and still has a beautiful design and color scheme.

I found one in a thrift shop for $5.00 quite a few years ago. It had been barely used and was in beautiful condition -- just tarnished -- and was tagged "Does Not Run." I bought it anyway and when I got it home I discovered that the only reason it didn't run was because the rug nozzle was not attached correctly and wasn't pressing down the safety switch. Once I put that right, it ran beautifully.

Along the way, I've found the attachments for it, including the optional smaller rug nozzle which I really, really like -- it concentrates the suction better and makes it easier to maneuver around my apartment. I've also seen a larger Classic-style Legend II nozzle but I don't have one.

Legend 2

Hey Electrolux137

Like your machine, it looks kinda funny with the smaller nozzle, i'm not used to that at all. Never seen any smaller nozzles in SA. I can believe that it makes easier to use as the standard nozzle is normally too wide for small spaces.
Love the Legend 2 but I'm looking for a Heritage 2 Legend, that were what i originally wanted when i bought the Legend, but have too say, don't regret it for a second.

I recently had the motor casing replaced with a original Legend 2 Motor casing as on this pics it has a Heritage 1 Casing which it came with, its much more sleek now. Just need to replace the wheels & bumper. Which my Kirby Distributor will hopefully find for me as the Legend is old & SA don't keep spares for long. I'm Trying to get my own parts to restore my collection myself as it grows.
