My brother was watching some young person's show just now on disney channel, and someone was using a dyson dc41, but it sounded exactly like a kirby heritage! It was certianly not that dyson running, I didn't even see dirt spinning in the bin. Why would they pretend to use a dyson, and put the sound of a kirby heritage on the sound track? Very strange. Maybe someone can explain this?

The heritage sound was probably just a stock vacuum noise used so the vacuum wouldn't mess with the sound as it was being filmed.

Much of the audio in films and TV--including dialog--is re-recorded and overdubbed. Dolby surround sound just can't be captured on the set.
