Dwayne,

All right!!! I do see, however, the main casting is polished so I see that was taken from a Classic 1CR through a Tradition. That's what I'll do with my grandparents' 1985 Heritage II if I can't find the original black hammertoned casting.

so ben are you saying it wasn't made at kirby like it is ? can you show me the way it should be & explain the black hammertone thing ?

Dwayne,

Here is a picture of a Legend II (not my own machine, of course) with the shake-out bag on it. It is the same black hammertone color despite the maroon trim elsewhere.

Basically, the original Heritage II Sani Emtor was similar to the Heritage I version except for it being black in color instead of dark gray.

thanks ben. i see what you mean. i much better like the way mine looks with the shiny emptor. guess it's a matter of taste.shine i shall human of in the pines of carolina.reminds me of that old song. thanks u all !! :>)

Nice machine. I like the look of it much better than with the painted sani emptor. I have a shake out bag for mine and got the polished sani emptor. I also have an open top bag. Grey with red lettering.

My Heritage II

Mine looks similar to yours, except mine has a translucent, dark smoke gray Mini-Emptor without the trap door on the bottom. Mine also has the disposable bag conversion to use the current style of disposable Kirby bags, although I'm currently using an older Micro Matic bag until it's full. I'm impressed at how easily this Kirby drives on carpets, when compared to other second-generation Kirby units.

Not sure how well you can see the Emptor in the picture, but that's what it looks like.
