What's the difference bet the Heritage 1, 84 or 2?

I have seen reference as some like the Heritage 2 better?

Have a H84...need that fill tube. no big deal but wondering is I should install it or let it go for someone else to enjoy as it weighs a ton...still I could use it for cleaning apts as it pushes easy but just the massive size & weight of it are alot for a 100 lb person like myself.

I also have a D80 that was updated w a f& G bag but its a bojack...still I could use that for apts as its much lighter.

Just trying to go thru the vacs & some must go as I need the space just a hard & sad choice to make.

A Heritage 1, and Heritage 84 are virtually the same machine.
The Heritage 2 is slightly different. It has a different lighter weight rug nozzle,is a different color,(black trim,and handle,gray bag)and the later versions of the HD2, have the belt/brush roll indicator light built into the rug nozzle.
The motor houseing of the HD2 is slightly different from a HD1 and HD84.
Also one of the main differences is the HD2 has the "Mini Emptor",,which is a more compact, and lightweight version of the "Sani Emptor". The Mini Emptor does not have the swing out bottom tray that the Sani Emptor does, but anything that gets trapped at the bottom of the Mini Emptor can be shaken out by removing the Emptor from the Kirby.
I believe the disposible bag coupler(that the bag fastens to, inside the outer bag) is different from the HD1 and HD84.
By and large, the HD2 is a lighter weight machine than the HD1 and HD84 also.

The larger nozzle looks much better than the Heritage II legends nozzle did.

thanks, it is a massive machine. everything is bigger than the before models & it does weigh a ton but its all solid aluminum still it sort of is easy & fun to use.

It will cost $7 for the tube & a bag to get it on the road...
Might be worth it...just have so many I'm tripping over vacs

Is the heritage 2 a gray bag? I've always thought of it as green!

Yes, the Heritage II is a grey bag, with the red Kirby logo. I too think they "cheapened" the look of the machine when they shaved the wings of the rug nozzle. I know some feel the Heritage II/Legend/Legend II were Kirby's best work. They were certainly lighter than what was to follow. Also, when the Generation 3 was released, Kirby went from using pure aluminum to some sort of aluminum alloy. I'd love to try a Heritage/Heritage II with the smaller "granny" head.

I bought a smaller head from ebay for my Heritage II. I was slightly disappointed in that , while yes, the mold was designed for the safety switch of the Heritage II, the top of the nozzle edges still kind of slant up (where the headlight rests) and isn't flat like the original Heritage/Legend nozzels, so naturally.. the headlight does not go all the way down.

I would love

One of the 500 style nozzles or the flat classic style nozzle, but the standard one was just not that good looking.
