A friend of mine has a Heritage 1 that has the sani-emptor, but it has a zip up bag and uses paper bags. maybe its not original, but it seems kind of pointless to have the sani-emptor to empty and a paper bag to replace?

If that H2 came that way it is rare, most likely the plastic mini emptor broke and they replaced it with the full sized one,if thats the case then they would have changed the rear axle to a H1 style, Kirby widened the rear axle on the H2, If you put on a full sized emptor it will rub on the wheels.

All the Heritage, and Heritage '84s had a grey embossed

yes you open the emptor to remove heavy objects like small stones, grit, etc. (from instruction booklet)

i must say that with ours there is little to nothng in it when i change the bag.

hmmmmmmm. I looked at that and never noticed that there is no full zipper. I guess Kirby continued to offer a shake out bag later than I thought.

Heritage 2

Hi All i bought my Heritage2 April of 1986. i wanted the shake out bag i always feel they have a lot more air power with out the paper bag any way they talked me out of it beause my son had very bad breathing problems. Well 24 years latter thank God my son is better and my heritage is still going strong. However i still use it for the attatchments but use the g 3,4,5,6, for cleaning my rugs . I have very thick rugs and the G series ismuch eaiser to push and reall cleans better.I really hope this new Kirby will make us all proud. I love the 500 series as well.Well this Kirbyman is signing off. Doug

yes kirby had the shakeout bag on the heritage II as an option, Not many people chose that option making it rare.
It says so right in the heritage II owners manual that it was an option.
