Kirby Help

Hey folks. I am new to the forum. My name is Tom from New York. I see a lot helpful info. on these forums so maybe someone can help me with a little issue. I have a Kirby Model D50 I am restoring and it needs a new Kirby Logo on the headlight cap (the one that is there is melted, the bulb must have been leaning up against it). Any idea where I can get one of these? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum Tom. I used to work at the Oreck dealership in Syosset. Your best bet would be the Kirby Corporation of New York on Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont. If they don't have a new one, I'm sure they'll be able to pull one off one of their trade-ins. Hope this helps.

...not really a point in calling 'The Kirby Company in Cleveland' as this part is not carried by them anymore & has not been for many years...

Thanks everyone for your help in searching for the Kirby logo for my D50 headlight cap.

I did try the local Kirby place in Elmont but the guy told me he hasn't seen one of these machines in a long time. I'll keep hunting around, ebay etc...
