Kirby Height - 1 click or 2?

way above the carpeting.

Well, you just can't fix stupid.

On a side note, I have found that I spend less time drying my clothes if I don't use water.

I've also notice that the tension on the handle spring can affect whether or not the nozzle maintains a good seal. If the spring is too tight, it will cause the nozzle to lift off the carpet too easily when pulling the vacuum backward. At that point, you have one of two choices: either click down one more notch (which makes it harder to push), or loosen the tension on the handle spring.

I have an Ultimate G and a UG Diamond Edition and I always go two clicks past the change in sound of the motor. However, on certain carpet that I have, it occasionally requires one extra click to keep the nozzle sealed to the rug properly. Its probably all in my head, but I never feel like the little wall to wall carpet I have in the house is really "clean" unless I vacuum it with a Kirby. I just cant see how any other machine I own, even my central vacuum, can actually lift and beat the dirt out of the carpet like a Kirby can. I'm certainly a Kirby user for life!

Given the relatively short carpeting in this house, I tend to go down 1 notch after the motor's tone changes, and that does the job nicely... :)

When I had my G5 though, it didn't seem to matter how low it went, cos it had the Techdrive to push it about, but I still treated it the same as my Pre-G Kirbys, just one notch below the tone change... :)
