Kirby h2 brand new in box question

I got a kirby h2 brand new in the box recently. I was just wondering it did not come with the regular bag and emptor but a cloth shake out bag and black powder coated emtor. Does anybody know if they sold then like this?.

Yes, they did... the customer ordered it that way to not deal with the disposable paper bags.

In fact, even the Legend II could be ordered that way; in the final year of the Legend II, 1990, some models with the shake-out bag option even had the maroon powdercoated large Em-Tor along with the newer G3-styled tool set!

Thank you so much for the information. I will post some pics tomorrow of it. I'm thinking about selling it as I collect kirbys however, I am more into 500 pre ww2 models and already have a h2 with small 13 inch nozzle.

I too have an h2 13. If you find any NIB kirbys or have any leads Tom aka kirby collector would love the opportunity.
I had a 1C I Sold to Thomas and bought a vacuette Electric from Thomas but the vacuette doesn't have a front axle.
I did find a once in a lifetime score getting Kirby Utility Vacuum 2 months ago.

That is an awesome find for sure. I have all.sorts of kirby stuff. I prefer the older stuff. Im a lux guy by trade. This h2 was wasn't looking but stumbled on it find. I do have a bunch of 3cs, 4cs, 505s and various older 500 series vacs and parts that I need to just list on ebay as a set. All are in different shapes. Some have the wooden handles and rubber handles some don't. One of these days I just need to stop be lazy and do it.
