Personally, I don't pay that much for Kirbys. There was an Avalir at the pawn shop with the complete attachment kit a couple of weeks ago for $59. I didn't buy it.
I did buy a Diamond Edition for $20 at a yard sale, complete with all tools. A little buffing compound and a new belt and bag - and she's one of the 'go to' machines in the Kirby collection.
For me (and I can't say about others), our Craigslist as well as Facebook Marketplace always have Kirbys at very low prices.
