This machine was at my friends thrift store in Plano for the past 6 months and was given to me yesterday for its final disposition. I had thought it was a G6 but it is a G4. Pretty much the same thing mechanically.
It can be the basis of a nice vacuum or a good parts unit. What you see is what you get. It was partially converted to a shampooer and rest of the parts are long gone. So no bag/emtor, attachments, or nozzle.
Runs and drives very well, shifts smoothly. No squeaks, rattles, or abnormal noises (after I removed a penny and nail from the fan case). Headlight works. No major damage or scratches.
Unit needs a good cleaning and will polish up well with some elbow grease. I did a small section on top - a minute with Mother's made a huge improvement.
Current draw is normal, switches work well, cord has no damage.
The tape on the handle is to secure the backing plate as the screw that holds it on had fallen out.
Free to a member in the area if he or she can come pick it up from east Plano.
Shipping the whole unit may not be cost efficient but I can quote it to your zip code if desired.
If no interest in the whole unit, I will be willing to strip it for parts at low costs plus shipping.
I already have a parts unit G6 so do not need this one also. Would like to see it gone soon due to lack of space.
Thanks!
