Kirby G4 Bumper Pinstripe

I am in the process of restoring my first Kirby. It will be a G4 which is the same model we had when I was growing up. I am a bit of a perfectionist, and am having trouble either tracking down a new power head bumper with the purple pinstripe or just the purple pinstripe itself. 


 


Does anyone know where I might be able to find a complete bumper with the purple, or a suitable closely matching color tape used for like automotive pinstriping?

Thank you so much for your reply. That is definitely the right bumper, but sadly it is missing the color stripe down near the bottom. I added a picture highlighting what I am looking for.


 


Based on my research it seems they are no longer available which I get as they redesigned the bumper with the Sentria. I think I will end up needing to go with some pinstripe material for cars, if I can find a close enough color match. Sadly finding the RIGHT color is also proving to be difficult. 


 


My mom had her Kirby refurbed back in 2019 by Kirby and it came back with a new bumper, so I have a feeling they are just hoarding them for their own refurbs.

Have you tried calling Kirby? They’re pretty great, and usually calling yields some good results. At least, in my experience. They will sell parts out the door, or at least will point you in a direction.

Kent I bought one two years ago from him. He has a ton of parts machines. Kirby will give you an avalir bumper. Email him let him know you want. I called him 3 weeks ago. Ill ask him if he has one.

The lavender color tape for the bumper

Just so you know I was helping Scott at Tinley Park Kirby and he has a whole roll of the tape for the G4 bumper. It still has 5 stripes left on the roll.
