I recently bought a Kirby G3..When it runs it is very loud and has alot of vibration to it and has a burning smell.. I checked the fan, it was in good condition. I then replaced the bearings and motor brushes.. Is the motor itself shot or is there something else I need to check? Thank's for all your help!

Several things to check

I rebuild kirby g series machines all the time, the vibration would indicate to me that the spindle that attaches to the fan is bent causing the brush to viberate. You can tell if the motor is bad if there is flairing not sizzleing at the brushes, did you seat the carbons properly ? If you smell hot copper the chances are the armiture is failing, and it would be best to replace the motor.I sell serviced g series motors in my eBay store "new2youvacuums".
