I know the basic design of the Kirby G series has remained in tact. But what changed from model to model (other than cosmetic changes)? I know with the G6, a new bag boot design was introduced to improve airflow. Somewhere along the way (Ultimate G?) a new brushroll with stiffer bristles was used. Disposable bags improved too and later Sentrias were given a new bag adapter. What else? Also, were there changes within any particular model (like the new bag adapter on the Sentria)? Thanks!

Kirby "G" model Kirby differences...

That list is long. Here are a few I remember (not necessarily in order):

Belt lifters, cord hook (strengthened), handle pivot assy, slide assy, torx screws as Karl said (mid-model G4 actually), belts, rug plates, power switch, brushrolls, fans, bag top adapter (on the G4 also), cords-anchoring, transmission, motor (DE), bag top cover (G4 since), headlight shape for safety (removed sharp/pointiness), cord cover (mid-model G3), etc.

I hope this is helpful.

Cheers & hagn all,

Bill
