So I did get to pick up that Kirby Dual Sanitronic 80 today! I tore it mostly apart, polished and cleaned it, and reassembled it.

It took me about 6 hours to finish this little project.

Anyway, this first picture is when I first got it... (It looks like 5pm but it was really 11am.)

In this picture, you can tell the emblem really needs to be polished... Oh well. I'll do that tomorrow morning.

Also, you won't see anymore pictures of it on as it needs both the front and back bearings replaced. Hopefully A007KirbyMan will have them.

Only a small amount of damage on the Kirby. Oh well, can't have everything be perfect.

The bag has really faded... May buy a good one once repairs are done. However, the colour is much brighter now that I have hand washed the bag.

I used quite a bit of grease to finish this little project. I'll polish more and more as time goes on. However, I can tell you it looks A LOT better than when I first got it.

Some random attachments that were in the attachment box. Probably going to get binned. I think the green strap is something for the Kirby, but I wouldn't have the slightest clue of what it is.

The attachments,

the brown tools and the filter appear to go to a Black & Decker dust buster, but the filter appears to small, yet the attachment the right color for their early huge electric dust buster (What a beast it is)!

The white dusting nozzle appears eureka, but the black appears very old, with a name embossed on it?

Keep them, you'll never know when you'll run into a machine and need it (I've done it plenty of times before).

And great job on the Kirby!

Awesome. I never knew about the strap.

The black one says "Singer."

I kinda assumed the while one was a Eureka.

I guess I'll throw them in my closet. Not like they take up that much room.

And thanks! I'm excited how it has came out.

Will (TASE),

It may be interesting to know that the Heritage, Heritage II (Legend) and Legend II could all be optioned with the reusable (shake-out) bag and the 13" wide nozzle, but neither of the two sold well. I wonder if you'd like to find one of those I mention?

Singer!

Oooooh! I'd place my bet on an R series attachment (1930s, 1940s) going off the material it's made from and color!

I keep my massive "Hoard" of N.O.S bags, many of which haven't been made in ages! Came in handy when I got my Kenmore Heavy-Duty, For I had a few packs of style P bags. I have about 90 individual Kenmore top-fill bags (singer sub-2 equivalent I believe). I have some spare convertible/Hoover attachments in a wooden case, yay!
