Hi all,

Recently I bought a vintage Electrolux polisher/shampooer. I have no intention of actually using it, but I just wanted it for my collection. Especially since I saw it on an old advertisement card with the Model G vacuum and PN-1 power nozzle. Ha, now I have all 3 of them!

I took it apart and cleaned it really well. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures while I had it disassembled. But it's pretty interesting how it works. There is just a small plastic turbine and what seems to be reduction gears. I'm amazed that it works completely just with air power, by the suction from the vacuum. The torque this thing has is unbelievable! I tried to hold with my hand, and you can really feel how much force it has! It sounds like a jet engine, and I had a little bit of fun throttling it by adjusting the vacuum relief on the wand handle. Ha, it really did sound like throttling a turbine engine!

I'll post more pictures a little later (I'm getting a pretty big Electrolux collection now!)

Nice Find Chris!

I have one of those too, along with a power nozzle with my model G. The only downside is that the attachments and power nozzle I have with mine are actually for a newer model, I think maybe a 1205. I'm always amazed at how quiet and powerful the model G is. Here's a pic of mine with everything except the power nozzle--don't know why I didn't put it in the pic.

Electrolux shampoo/polisher

Great companion to the Mo G.Your pictured brush is only for hard floors.Shampoo brush would have softer bristles and ridges on top to create foam from liquid shampoo solution. This was the first version. It was continued in matching colors up to the Diamond Jubilee period and later called Rug Washer.
