Kirby Classic iii saftey switch?

Should my Classic iii have two speeds? It seems to only have one. Off and On.

How subtle is the speed switch, maybe I'm not hearing it?

The switch when pressed half way down gives you low speed, and then all the way gives full speed, press it slowly while it's on (but be careful not to have any stray hair or fingers near the fan or pulley) and it should show the two settings...

If not, then it's either broken, or someone's got the wiring wrong...

A replacement safety switch is available under part #134380 (formerly 134373).

I will check the wiring first, I do not hear any change in motor speed.
