I'm disappointed that I was unable to attend this year's convention, especially since it is in Cleveland.  Kirby is my favorite vintage and contemporary brand!

But since I'm not there, I spent the day finishing up a Classic III that I've been working on.  I tore it completely apart and polished the castings.  It also has new bearings, motor brushes, nozzle bumper, and brush roll.  In fact, the brush roll is NOS with sleeve bearings that I got from Bill Edstrom.  The bag was in great shape, so all it needed was a good cleaning.

It's been over three years since I fully serviced a Kirby.  This one isn't my best work with polishing.  But I'll take it for now!

Looks gorgeous! The Classic III is one of my favorite vacuums (along with the 560). So sharp with the red. You did a fantastic job.

Jeff,

I noticed your Kirby Classic III is also either a mid-1978 or 1979 model because of the placement of the cord hooks on the handle. If you still have it at present, could you please give me the serial # that appears on the fan case by where the bag attaches to? It's on that plaque.

That's the model we used at the hotel on the beach. Boy did it get up the sand!!! We had 10 of those with only 2 being stolen, that's why we started bringing them into the rooms when we went for lunch & when done we carried them into HK office. Mark D.

Amazing beauty. Compliments. Unfortunately I don't have a Kirby Classic in my collection yet, I hope I'll find one!
