Kirby Classic Attachments...

I've been looking to get this set for two weeks now, but I didn't want to pay $15... So I waited 'til half off day!

Anyway, Kirby Classic Attachments!



Where has this box been?

Well, all the rug renovator stuff is there. I mostly bought this because I want a set for my Classic III.

The head is actually in great condition. This thing was barely ever used.

I'm sure this is posted somewhere, but what are these used for? Do you put them on the water container opening to the Kirby so water doesn't get in?

And where did this rubber piece come from? It almost looks like the piece put around the bag to hold it onto the Sani-emptor.

And my last question: Is it okay to use the Generation series Kirby Carpet Shampoo in place of Kirby Instant Suds?

No, those are the Rug Protector Pads, used for putting underneath the legs of furniture, ect that could rust, or corrode when comming in contact with the damp carpet.
Back in the days when the Rug Renovator System was new, many households had large, heavy pieces of furniture that couldnt be moved off the thick, heavy (often times deep shag) carpet, so you would put these pads under the legs of said furniture and work around it.
These pads would hopefully catch any moisture so that the metal furniture legs wouldnt cause a rust spot on the carpet, if the legs should get damp.

This Kirby had quite a trip. It went from Sterling, Colorado, to Spokane, Washington, all the way back to Arvada, Colorado.

Yes, you can use the Kirby Instand Suds in any Kirby Shampoo System. However, that plastic bottle is very old and probablly kind of fragile,,,be careful with it,,it could be leaky.

Yes that is the Bag Protector Ring,(or whatever its called) from around the top of the Sani Emptor.

I won't be putting anything in the bottle. It was empty to begin with. However, it doesn't have any cracks and acts like a normal bottle. Pretty well protected.

It's a very interesting haul... Including since Kirby Classics, Omegas, IIIs, and Traditions are extremely hard to find around here.

I figured the formula is the same or close. I've always wanted a rug renovator for my Classic III and this is probably as close as I'm going to get for a while.

Thanks for all the information Brian. I'm not very good with knowledge of the pre-Generation series machines.

Well,

that rug renovator will NOT fit on your Classic 3.

Correct... the speed switch on the Classic 1CR is the same kind as used on both of the Kirby Dual Sanitronics. The Classic Omega, Classic III and most Traditions use an arm-type speed switch, so the lugs on the nozzle casting will be different for these three.

No Problem TASE, good luck with your Classic Series Kirbys! David is right,,remember that the Classic ICR is more related to a Dual Sanitronic 80 and DS50 than it is to the Classic Omega or Classic 3.

Yep, just shows how much I know about Classic Kirby's. Starting to find out I should really just stick to Heritage and above...
