Hello, out there, does anyone have an extra Kirby model C (1935 to 1940) that you wish to part with... Don't sweat it, condition is not so important. If you have one that you don't want, post a picture and we'll talk some scratch and shipping. Thanks!

Hi cb123

There were two C models, the 1-C, 1935, and 2-C 1938. Both are pictured here in my museum. The 1-C had the scroll heaslight, the 2-C is Kirby as we know it over the years. Unfortunately I only have these, and their rare as hens teeth. Good luck with your search.

Alex,

Thanks, for the photo, their super nice. If you have any more angles on the 1-C and the 2-C, I sure wouldn't mind eye loving-em. About the C series, I think their was the early C (1935), and the 1-C (1935-1937), the 2-C (1937-1938), the 3-C (1938-1939), and the 4-C (1939-40 or 41). The early C is prehaps the rarest I think, because it had no light, nor cover. After that one, nothing but lights. They say that their is four C models, but in fact their is five, if you count the early C, not to mention the R series which branched off from the C's.

Hi modigmiller.

Yes, I'm interested, providing there are certain things that go with it. A major requirement is the bag, another is the cord. I'm reposting the picture so you know what I need. The 1-C has the scroll headlight, the other is the 2-C, and either the light gray with red Kirby logo, or black will do.  Please post pictures so we can see it and tell us what the asking price is.

Thanks,

Alex Taber.

Hi cb123

Great looking Kirby, you have me drooling! That's close to what I'm looking for too, but if modigmiller has one with the scroll headlight cap, it would be even better. But before we do anything, we better see what the asking price is. It could save me a lot in restoring mine. What I really need is a sani-em-tor and bag like the one here to restore the one I brought home in October.

Have a Happy and safe New Year,

Alex Taber.
