Can I upgrade my Kirby Classic III to a newer twin line of bristles roller? Mine has a single line of bristles all the way across the roller. She has a 6 amp motor. Is this enough amp power to turn a twin bristle roller? Like the newer Kirby's have the twin roller and higher amp motor?

And

Would this twin bristle row roller work better? Common sense says yes.

And after looking at the amps below, my Classic III should drive a newer twin bristle ok right?

Here are the specs for the Kirby Generation 3/G4/G5/Gsix/Ultimate G:
Floor:
6 amps
Hose:
7 amps
Here are the specs for the Kirby Heritage/Heritage II/Legend/Legend II:
Floor:
4.5 amps
Hose:
5.5 amps
Here are the specs for the Kirby Classic/Classic Omega/Classic III/Tradition:
Floor:
5 amps
Hose:
6 amps
Here are the specs for the Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50/Dual Sanitronic 80:
Floor:
4 amps
Hose:
5 amps

Thanks Ben for the assist sir.

152585 was the part number for the brush roll with the magnet on the small end, as used on Heritage II machines from March 1986 to October 1987.

152581 was the part number for the brush roll without the magnet, as used on all Heritage I machines and Heritage II machines built between September 1984 and February 1986.

Here is part number 152581 if you desire:

Mine I'm sure didn't have the magnet (Classic III). So any issue using a roll with the magnet?

Looks like several part numbers that might work. I like the rollers that have a constant line of bristles. 152581 and 152575 don't.

No. . . but what the magnet does is, on those Heritage IIs with the BPI (brush roll performance indicator) light, it keeps that light a steady green as long as the brush roll and belt are functioning properly and as long as the height of adjustment is correct.
