will the stupidity ever stop ? ordered a so called "new & improved " rear bearing puller & the plate that was screwed to it was too thick to go behind the bearing.i had to tweek it with my bench grinder so it would fit.why me ? why don't people who sell stuff ever check to see what they are selling.i messaged the seller & he said that's what kirby said would fit.WRONG SO WRONG.i fixed it though !

Seller descriptions are to be taken with a grain of salt - I know what you are experiencing. Most 'new' designs do not consider older models.
I never bought the special puller, but instead made one out of scrap metal and random hardware. I have used it over a dozen times on 505s to G6's.
There are several distinct spacing configurations used over the past 100 years and I I had to modify my own tool to adapt to all of them.
With your comment, I am glad I never actually bought the special tool. The designers just do not consider all models.
