Did the Sanitronic VII ever use the close ovals bag when they changed the logo in the 1964 model, or was that bag only used on the D50? Also, did the spaced oval bag come factory on later D50 machines?

Mike,

Picture 1 - ovals spaced closely, from Dual Sanitronic 50, original production 1965-67

Picture 2 - circles spaced closely, from 562 Sanitronic (1962-63) and Sanitronic VII (1963-65)

Picture 3 - ovals spaced apart, 1970s and later genuine replacement bag for these three machines.

Ben is exactly right. There is a Sanitronic on eBay, I believe that has the round Kirby logo on the belt lifter and the bag, but it has a Dual 50 bag on it. The machine is in nice shape, looks completely original. Hey Ben, have you ever taken an unused old grey Kirby belt and turn it inside out and see the round Kirby logo on it, if you stretch the belt the logo becomes the oval on, pretty cool how they did that.
