Kirby Bag Chain Re-Assembly?

The bag chain from my 515 is missing the loop that is needed for it to be attached to the handle.

At the moment, I am using the chain and loop from my Classic 1CR with the bottom adapter clip from my 515's bag chain.

Has anyone ever been able to repair these?

You push through the chain through the bottom. If you get a screwdriver or something to open the hole slightly. You push the chain through and push back down the opening you opened.
