Kirby and Royals - How to restore the luster

I have a bunch of upright Royals and Kirby vacs. To restore the original shine do you just use a power buffer on them. Is it that simple to restore the shine or is there more to it. I was going to go to Sears and get a buffer of some sort but I thought I would ask first.

Indeed. And some good polish. You might want to ask Charles Lester for his polishing site, if he doesn't mind. They will shine like chrome, even though they are dull aluminum. Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish is great, though I don't know if you are supposed to use it with the buffing wheel. I think those "rouge sticks," or whatever they are, are meant for polishing with the buffing wheel. Good luck! They will look great afterwards!
