Hello

I'm sure this has been covered before, but my vac.knowledge is building.

Is there a link for lubricating the motor and other necessary components of a 519?

I have a vintage manual from a 517 ... clearly a different model ... but it states the vac. should be taken and serviced by Kirby professionals.

It can't be that difficult.

Thanks for any help.

There

Isn't really lubrication points. The toe touch is a place you grease, handle spring mayor can spray there and maybe the wheel.
The motor bearing plate has a bearing you lubricate. The bottom of tge motor is a bearing you take out the armature and lube.
The 516 to 562 and sanitronic 7 had the same motor and internals are all the same.
You tube chicago Mike has a few videos on how to do all the bearings.

Can't find Chicago Mike anywhere on YouTube. I'm sure he's there somewhere.

What I get is: Kirby enthusiast ... Do you have a link for Mike?

Thanks

Here is a link

There's a few videos but instead of using a bearing puller you can use a socket. The videos are awesome.

Be sure to use silicon oil or grease on the wheels (or any plastic parts really).
Using petroleum based lube will deteriorate the plastic and the wheels will squawk even worse over time.
