Butler and hose
Both probably on line. Check e-bay, Facebook market, other forums,Craigslist,Goodwill stores and their web sights, vacuum repair shops(the older the better)yard sales, estate sales and flea markets.Make friends with the cur-rater of a vacuum cleaner museum, they have lots of contacts and on Vacuumland there are a lot of Kirby collectors.
Make sure the Handi-Butler fits your machine! There is a cable that goes with it that has a chuck on the end like a regular drill chuck for sanding and buffing. There originally was a little Kirby tool kit that came with the butler that had round sandpaper, buffing pads, polishing rouge, a rubber disc used for mounting the various implements that attach to the cable chuck and a wrench for tightening.
If the wait proves too long you can always take the old crusty hose to someone who can make you a new hose.It won't be original and it will be pricey, but you could use that while waiting for an original. In any event keep the old hose couplers just in case...
