Kirby 512 assistance needed

Hi Everyone,

I have a Kirby 512 that is in pretty rough shape, and I was wondering if anyone had a copy of the owners manual with warranty card I could use to send this for a rebuild or if someone may be interested in earning some extra cash and refurishing it some for me.

It is in need of a new bumper, a new brushroll, the motor sounds kind of rough, It does have a replacement bag from what loosk like the Dual Sanitronic 50 time frame, and a red Classic III cord, and also has the tan wheels. I dont mind the incorrect bag and such, I just wanted to have it polished up and the motor tuned up .

Hey Sam

Id be glad to help you polish it up but I think it would be costly to ship it here just for a polish as I don't have a bumper.Would the brushroll in my D80 fit? I may have to part with the 80 as I dont see me restoring it but I hav not decided yet.

No, the brushroll in the 505-512 was different than the brushroll in the 513 and later models. Later brushrolls had the height adjustment screws built in.
