I've been told the original Classic 1CR/Classic III 2CB Sani Emtor body (180069) will not quite fit on the Heritage II to Legend II models because of a slight difference in the neck (especially the 1CR/1CB ones) and because of the connecting lugs on the fan case that may cause it to be "stuck" when used on these particular machines. I know the rear wheel axle variations on HII/LII machines with the Mini Emtor is one thing, but the neck design of the original Classic Emtor vs. the Tradition style is all new to me. Has this ever happened to you?

If that's the case, then I think that the 179978S Emtor body used on the Tradition (the first Kirby to feature a disposable bag system) has its connecting openings machined a little differently in order to interchange between the Classic and the Legend II.

I do know one thing: the Emtor connecting lugs were the same (100656) from the 516 to the Heritage I; Kirby revised them for the Heritage II (100684).

Ben, I believe the difference in the 2 sani emptors is that the older one does not have the lip on the opening where the cloth bag attaches too it for the paper bag tube that was used on the Tradition, the later version has a lip that the base of the bag tube snaps into. That is the only thing I can think of being different, the way they mount on the motor unit is the same.
