When Fred Nelson processed my registration, I asked him if the site had a search engine for the archives and his reply was, "Not yet".
Frustrating since I like to research a lot of topics.
Since then, I sorted out how to use Google to do keyword searches specific to the Vacuumland site.
I just did a search of the Vacuumland archives and don't see it referenced there so it may be new to you!
Did I just turn in a circle?
;o)
Anyway, here's what to do:
1. Navigate to the Google advanced search page:
http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en
2. In the box for 'Search within a site or domain', type or paste:
vacuumland.org
3. Add any keywords you'd like to find, e.g., Kirby, Miele power nozzle, etc. to the regular search boxes.
For that second example you can use the box for 'this exact wording or phrase' to get the words in consecutive order.
4. After your criteria are entered, click on the 'Advanced Search' button and you'll see the results page and can click through from those links.
NOTE: You can also do this from the standard Google search page by type or pasting:
site:vacuumland.org
in the search box then adding your key words after it.
It ain't perfect but makes it easier to find references across a variety of threads.
