He's not thinking of Singer! Theese canisters have a molded cord-hook on the bottom rear of the canister. The front wheel serves as the secondary cord hook.

Is this the vac, a Kenmore badged Panasonic 7200 series? Basic shape and everything look right. The shape of the center bulkhead is right, so is the rubber furniture guard.

Sper-sweeper are there hooks to wind the cord up on the bottom?

Phil, like I said: on the rear bottom of the canister there is a plastic hook. The front steering wheel serves as the secondary hook.I'll take a picture when I get the chance.

Sounds right. The Panasonic 7200 series I linked too doesn't have a cord reel either. I think it's you vac. It may be the body casting is shared by a more delux model in that series that had a cord reel.

After a large dose of Mr.Clean Magic-Eraser, and a ton of scrubbing, The Kenmore 2.5 is being released from the Kenmore Southern-States Restoration Facility!

That came out really nice! There is something to be said for not having a cord winder to break. Simple is most often better.

Post up some more in focus shots, including some of the motor if you have them and of the bag compartment and a rear shot. What bag does it take btw?
