Kenmore Singer Hoover Anser Wizard Uprights

Wizard Deluxe

Hans, if I remember correctly, wasn't that Hamilton Beach upright used as a powerhead for the first Air Way powerhead canister in the 1960's? Without the bag of course, & the wand attached to a bellows to the vacuum. And I think for some reason they chose to replace the Hamilton Beach with a Eureka F&G upright.

This could make a fun project machine for someone that has a Air Way canister & wants to convert it.

Anser - better pics

And one of the old VL posts refers to a Hoover model vac motor fits into the bases of the Anser...

And I took apart/scraped a Universal upright vac, and the Universal brand had the same adapter plate as the Anser vacuum bag.

The Anser

Is a re take on the old LF and C Universal...Same motor with a Hoover brushroll..

The Anser

Was a machine built using old Landers Frary and Clark Universal casting and motors but a hoover brushroll, I think mid 60s thru 70s, not positive about the date, The Wizard Deluxe was sold in yellow and used by AirWay before the Eureka power head version, that was a Don Clark invention, Hamilton Beach made it.

Being a collector for +/- 25 years now, that's the first time I've ever seen an actual picture of one of those Hamilton Beach uprights from the 60s/70s. I've never seen one in person, nor do I know of anyone who has one (other than the one in this picture, labeled a Wizard). I've seen the pictures of the Air Way powernozzle, but have never seen a cleaner itself. Very cool!

I've been after the Hamilton Beach model for a while

I gave up on finding it. I only found one once. I remembered it having a toggle switch on the handle (like Hoover) and a handle release pedal.

Go for it!

I had contacted the seller, but I think I have my hands full with the horde I got recently, I had never seen one except in pictures.
