I was reading some reviews online of Kenmore vacuums and found out something interesting. The reviewer told that the hose end of the current Progressive canisters (white or blueberry) is not the chrome metal piece typical of Kenmore hoses, but a plastic stub, to which the horsehair dusting brush sold by Sears nor the other attachments will fit. They also mentioned that the bristles on the Progressive combo brushes are short and stiff.

So if anyone needs a Kenmore canister vacuum to do much dusting, it would probably be better to get a red or blue Intuition (TOL) or a tangerine or aqua (BOL) canisters. These still have the metal hose ends and have a more useful combo brush included, or you can use them with the horsehair dusting brush or other attachments instead.

I've sold quite a few Kenmore canister vacs to professional house cleaners. They prefer the older type attachments, not the newer horse-shoe style brush.
