Last Friday I went to the Salvation Army (first time going to a thrift store in months) and they had a mint green Kenmore Duopower upright. It was $9.99, but it was half off day. Didn't buy it because the plastic cover over the head was cracked (to be honest, it didn't feel like a very solid machine either). If it was in better condition I probably would have bought it because it did look very cool.

Has anyone had similar experience with finding vintage vacuums in poor condition, giving you reason not to buy it, but otherwise you would have loved to have had?

If You Dont!!!

Buy it ...you may never see another, if its cheap I buy it if at all rare or old, the Duo Power is EXTREMELY rare!!!

Oh my definitely!

I have passed up 2 cordwinder eurekas because of their condition. Also lots of kirbys and stuff.

The last kenmore duopower I saw I bought just because there isn't anything broken on it. it sure is a flimsy machine! Lol.
