Can anyone help? I need a wand length adjust button, and sears said I have to buy a new telescoping wand assembly for $90.00. The part looks easy enough to replace, but I can't find it anywhere. I live in Philadelphia. It just seems unreasonable to have to replace the whole wand for such a little part.

Kenmore Progressive, I assume.

I may have that part, as I carefully took apart the wand for mine, and parted out the vacuum. (sold the hose)

The aluminum tubes were very, very rough on mine.

I won't be able to look until later.

The parts are very similar to Panasonic, who made the vacuum.

As you found out, parts are expensive for the Kenmore vacuums.

My Progressive had many broken pieces of plastic, and the power nozzle was terrible (it was the 2 in 1 design)

One reason I dislike Kenmore vacs, parts are way overpriced

The kicker here, is the LED light no longer comes with the wand.

So, the price should be much, much lower than what is shown.

On mine, for the LED Light, the leads for one of the capacitors came loose from the circuit board.

Thank you so much. On this manual, it is called a slide button and I ordered it for $6.99. In my manual it is called a wand length adjust button and they tell me it can't be ordered. It is the same part. Thanks again, I love this forum.
