Man did I give myself a great Christmas present....Most of you know Apex is one of my very favorite vacuums....many years ago I was told about the top of the line model 5555 Apex Strato Cleaner, this machine has been by far the most elusive machine I ever tried to find, I have the first Strato, it is green, I also have the red and white one, these are 5501 and 5502, but the all chrome with red trim 5555 with a 12 amp motor has been so far non existant until now, one showed up on ebay and now its on its way here..I CANT WAIT!!!!As for Apex machines i now have 2 tanks, three Aero Cleaners..all three versions and the Stratos.." the green one needs a new fan"..the only Apex machine I do not have is the BOL Dyno cleaner..its fun to have a Holy Grail machine and finally to find it!!....Now for attachments...that is another matter!!LOL.

I was watching(quietly).Rare is right!I didn't know that in additiion to chrome the center bumper was unique with a metal band.Do you know yet what the "worlds finest ---" slogan is?Hope packing and shipping goes well(the switch area can be fragile).

The band around the cleaner says...

Worlds Most Powerful home Cleaner, I think they put this on there because Consumer Reports said it had the highest suction of any vacuum ever tested..It also was more expensive than a lot of door to door vacuums, which is why you never see one...150.00 in 1958...when an Electrolux was 89.95!!!!
