It is July already, and I have not yet replaced anything. But, there have been more changes:

1. I will officially be paying for that Grey Eureka Commercial Vacuum hopefully Monday or Tuesday. I am officially buying it. If anything, I might just replace the motor with the original metal motor, unless this plastic motor is already original. It will be replacing The Eureka Boss. Someone bought it for $20, and I will be shipping it out this week or the beginning of next week, depending on when the Grey Eureka will arrive.

2. I may completely restore the Hoover Convertible. Like do a full clean out. It's not really worth selling on ebay. I am glad it did not sell when I had it up. It is my first vintage vacuum cleaner I ever found. So why sell it. I'll just restore it. I was going to have the vacuum store help me, but they will probably charge me extra for stuff I do not need. So, I'll just do it myself.

3. I may add 2 more uprights to my upright collection, since I have space for 2 more. After that, my closet will be full of machines, so I won't be collecting upright anymore once I find my final 2 dream machines, one of them being a Wards by Eureka.

4. I will still be collecting hand vacuums, since I have 3 drawers reserved for those. I really want a NOS Royal Prince. I've seen those on ebay a few times, but they usually run at 100+ dollars.

That is my July update. I do not know why I am not allowed to delete posts on this website, even though I am a member. I try to delete old posts, but it tells me I have to wait 6 hours every time.

the post thing,

To prevent people from going back and changing/deleting what they previously said (such as in an argument or such), vacuumland only allows the editing or deleting of posts for 6 hours after the initial posting time!

Hello

I have a Eureka made for Wards, not sure if you would be interested. It's like a burnt yellow color. If interested can post some pics. Randy

Some pics of the Montgomery Wards

Here are a few pics of the Wards vacuum. It's more of a mess than I thought. It has scratches all over the hood and handle. The plastic end cap on the handle looks to be a little chewed up, bag has hole down by the dirt port, dirt port also has a hole in it that has been taped over with clear tape as shown in photo. Brush roll turns somewhat hard and it doesn't have the right belt guard on it as well.

I could just give you this mess of a vacuum if you even want it otherwise it's going to the Goodwill.

Thanks for your interest and take care, Randy

Randy, I WILL take it. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I can clean this up very well. Everything is original on it. What I've always wanted. I WILL take it.

Thank you very much. How much will I have to pay for shipping? What would be the total cost?

I really do want it. This is exactly what I was looking for. I remember 2 months ago, I asked if anyone was selling a Wards and only one person was, and the bag was not original. This bag is. Most people don't sell Wards vacuums. And those that do price them at high prices and over 100 people bid on them.

Another dream machine I want is a 60s Chrome Eureka. There is one on ebay, and I had a bid. Then, people kept bidding more and more, and I can't afford it. I was close to getting a chrome Eureka last summer, but I got snipped last minute. Now I found a Wards, I want to look for a Chrome Eureka from the 60s at a good, not impossible price, also everything original. Then, that will complete my collection of uprights, as I do not have space anymore. I only have space for 2 more, hopefully this Wards, and then when I do find a chrome eureka vacuum.

Thanks, but no thanks. I want one that is New in Box. I've seen some listed in the past. Those old hand vacuums, you can find those new and unused. But upright vacuums are rare to find new. And if one is NOS, the cost would be in the high hundreds. I once saw a Blue Eureka NOS for $1200 on ebay. Someone actually bought it.

It's yours

Ok, you can have it. Total cost will be $25.00, but it's going to be a couple of weeks till I get this packed and ready to ship if that's ok?

Thanks, Randy

That's ok. Let me know when you want me to pay. I have a paypal account, so I can pay for it on paypal. I'll pay once you let me know that it is packed and ready to go.

I am glad this is going to a collector who will take good care of it, rather than Goodwill where probably someone would buy it and destroy it for parts.

Thanks again for selling this Eureka Wards to me. This is my dream machine I finally found.
