Well, that's great. When I saw the photo of the machine at the top of the page, it looked so decent, I wondered if it was one of those deals where the seller said, "Looks like it's in great condition. I have not tested it; I'll leave that up to you." You know the kind of eBay description I mean. So, at least you walked into this one with both eyes open- and you made something terrific and rare out of it.
BTW, nice job using the Lux hose as a replacement. It actually looks very good, since so many early '50s hoses were grey.
