Literally thousands of you have E-mailed me asking for before/after pictures of the machines I brought to North Canton at the Hooverland Mini-meet. Well here they are!!!

The next two shots are of the motor after cleaning, etc. Copper fan housings? What will Universal think of next?

Parts hanging and drying. In this photo are a Lux G and an Atlas. These parts cure for about a week before assembly

Great Photos, Rick!

And thank you for bringing these vacuums to North Canton so we could see them in person. Obviously a lot of hard work went into both of them, and you did an excellent job. It was great meeting and visiting with you as well.

Wow!

Those are stunning!

Did you get the paint custom mixed/matched? Or was it just off the shelf spray paint?

I've never delved into the whole re-painting category. I'm too scared that it will look amateur. The only time I got close to repainting a machine was on a Hoover model 115 that I really messed up the paint on. I took it to a place and had it sandblasted and repainted for the tune of about $100. I took a mothemizer out of an attachment set for them to match the color as best they could. Although, it wasn't a baked on wrinkle finish like the original. The weren't able to locate that kind of paint. ((That's the 115 that you now have, Ida...))

How about the hose on the Jet99? What sort of replacement hose did you use/buy? Looks kind of like a new Electrolux hose.

Again... Fabulous! Stunning!
Do you have any new restoration projects in the wings?

Thanks for sharing!

~Fred

Here's the 115 before I gave it to Fred N:
