Ok, that might be an extreme analogy...
But, today I gave the biggest vacuum gift to anyone ever from my personal collection and it felt scary and exhilarating and ultimately satisfying.
1968 Electrolux tan Model G
I have 4, and I narrowed it down to the two that I was willing to part with. It came down to ding/dent count and faded "electrolux" name painted on sides of vacuum along with safety of electric cord.
I picked the better of the two to gift. It was like ripping off a band aid!
I had collected 1940s and 50s brushed aluminum tools to give her with it that pre dated the vacuum, but added a wonderful user experience! 4 vintage tools total; floor brush, carpet tool reversing to pet hair side, upholstery tool and dusting brush. I gave her a generic plastic crevice tool as well.
We polished all tools together, then I showed her how to use them using the machine I picked...and then gifted her the whole thing!
She was elated, really loved it!
