I have a new one on my c3. The bags on classic 3 and tradition are truly the worst bags Kirby made.
The classic is like a fleece blanket.
If you wash tradition it will probably tear.
The new replacement are much better.

I had washed both original Tradition and Classic III bags in buckets and in the machine with no problems, as well as reinstalling them. Of course past storage conditions may make your mileage vary...
Not sure what they are made of but they were lightweight when pulled from the washer.

Don't feel bad..I always thought it was plaid too until I seen another Kirby guy say tattersall, so I googled it and have used it since, LMAO. I found a late model bag on ebay

i made a mistake

years ago I washed a tradition bag and then put it in the dryer. never again. our white dryer was now permanently stained blue- however the bag was not faded. crazy man
