Is This My Kirby's Correct Cord?

Not in the slightest odd...new molded plug Kirby cord sets are expensive...replacement plugs are 99 cents at the hardware store.

Remember, lots of folks still pull a plug out of the outlet with a tug on the cord rather than bend down and grasp the plug. This is the commonest damage to a cord, closely followed by running over it.

Oh well yes that does make sence. I just thought the whole process would be easier to buy a new one and not have to do electrical stuff.

Plugs and Cords

Yes for us collectors that would make sence but wiring a two prong plug is really easy. I can understand on my Turq G that was my wife's grandmothers that was replaced with a Kenmore for Christmas three years ago because the cord winders are fun to deal with. Her son put a hardware store plug on it in the mid 90s. It was replaced when it had two broken wheels. She used it for 40 years. Now once I install the new wheel I will use it as my "user" g so that I don't do in the cord or plug on my turq g with the lux cord and plug.
