Is this bag too far gone?

Well I am finishing a restoration on a running Hoover Convertible and after I dismantled it and cleaned things up, I realized this bag is roached. The spring is stretched, every snap is ripped off leaving gashes in the fabric and it's full of holes. Will it cost more to replace this bag then the vacuum itself is worth?

I don't want to dump $50 of time and parts into a $30-$40 vacuum, but I'll let you guys decide on the bag.

Backside...

See what I mean? Everything is just destroyed. I knew the snaps would need to be replaced somehow but all of these holes and the material the bag is made of sure make me wonder if it's even worth it. This bag is not a simpler fabric bag like other Convertibles I used to own. This bag is primarly made of vinyl, likely exclusive to this model since it's an old commercial-grade Hoover and not a household model.

I WOULDN'T

I would keep the original bag, poilsh it at its best with warm soapy water. Exept in case you find THE SAME EXACT BLUE BAG WITH WHITE LOGO...
For the holes, consider of glueing some blue fabric in the interior of the bag where the bag is cut, as it will keep edges at their place. Use transparent soft glue, the one used for paper too ( not epossidic glue ! ).

That' my idea

Okay thanks

I will keep that in mind. For adhesives, I once used this stuff that came in a long tube to restore some speaker grilles on a Magnavox stereo. It bonded the fabric back to the wood and I distinctly remember this stuff stinking really bad. Could this work? I don't remember what its called, I haven't used any in years.

I would've said this is yours!

But the handle has different wear patterns!
