Is there a connection between Patriot and Air Storm vacuums

I always thought they were the same ( sadly I don't know much about them ) When I googled them it seems they are different companies. Also when did the Air Storm, the Patriot and the Vortech Force start production?

Patriot and Airstorm are both made by Schoettler Research and Engineering. The airstorm has been around since 1989 and the Patriot shortly after that. The Airstorm was their main model and was sold mostly DTD. Around 97 or so the switched to the Patriot as their main unit and moved the Airstorm into vac shops where they are still sold new today. And Vortech when into production in the mid to early 90's, around the same time as Miracle Mate (92'). All 3 where started by ex Tri-Star guys and still in production today.
