When I was younger, I saw the commercial for a carpet extractor called the Eureka Atlantis. The feature that made the machine impressive was the fold-down handle. I remember Lowes carrying it for a brief while, then it became a Wal-Mart exclusive.

I have 2 questions that need to be answered: Is it really that bad, and why did Eureka take it off the market?

If you want to, you can read reviews on the Atlantis right on Amazon.

They were absolutely horrible, they broke a lot and from what Ive been told by the guy we have work on those kind of things (I won't work on the cheap shampooers, they're just too nasty usually and can't stomach the smell.) that they are extremely difficult to work on. I also didn't think they work that well.
