Depends on the problem. Most of the issues with the V2 came from the lower motor/ gearbox assembly. That's what drives the four brush rollers. The screw posts in the clear plastic part of the base were especially brittle.
At one time, Hoover had a repair kit that more or less replaced the entire base assebly, gearbox, frame, and all, for about 140 bucks. Did alot of them under warranty.
For that kind of work and cost, you can buy a new Tempo and a bunch of bags, and still have a much better vac.
