That's cool!
I like Electrikbrooms for some reason. I have two Reginas, but I've never seen any of the other rebrands in person.
I know Sears had one, and some other stores as well.

At some point in the 1980’s, Canadian Regina products changed names to Iona. There seems to be some connection to Smith-Corona Marchant because our SCM Procter Silex kitchen appliances also became Iona appliances. It all seems to have been a result of the Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the USA. There were a lot of plant closures in Canada and our home appliances started having lots of brand name changes due to closures and corporate takeovers. You’d have to read the Wikipedia entry for Iona appliances to find out how the Canadian Elektrikbrooms lost the Regina brand name. Maybe Regina of New Jersey decided to sell its Canadian factory to Iona…not sure.

There is also a connection between Iona Canada and Dyson in the early 1990’s. I think Iona bought the Canadian Switson vacuum factory in Welland, Ontario (near Niagara Falls) and then bought the rights to create a bagless Dyson cyclonic vacuum for introduction to the Canadian market. I think Iona figured they had the experience with a “dirt cup” stick vac so why not expand that concept with the Dyson technology. And so Iona created Canada’s Fantom Technologies out of the Switson plant in Welland.
