I found this on a pick Saturday morning, it was in a barn that was about to fall over. I think its an airbrush that you hooked up to a vacuum cleaner. The box is in bad shape, but I see it says "All Purpose Spray Gun" on one side and something about a scalp massger on the other. It was operated by flipping the switch on the vacuum to "blow". I don't know if it was ever used, the instructions are still inside the spray gun bottle! Was this a good find? I have seen vacuum accessories for hair dryers, floor polishers, buffers, and even a shampooing attachment for my grandma's Kirby, but I never saw a scalp massager or a spray gun and certainly not in the same package.

Interstate Engineering...

Made Compact and Revelation, I think this was one of those"I will give you this if you buy today" deals, certainly late 50s early 60s.

Interstate:

Based in Anaheim, CA, as the company that made both the "Compact" and "Revelation" brands of vacuums. Compact was door-to-door sales; Revelation was sold in stores.

The Deluxe Accessory Kit shown was a "persuader," as has been mentioned. It was given with purchase to close a deal when the prospect was wavering. The rubber scalp massager and spray gun came with our C2 purchased in 1955 (as a "leftover" 1954 model). They were never used to my knowledge in the thirty years Mom owned the vacuum.

The rubber part of the massager that has the hose-end fitting goes onto the other, cylindrical part; you then turn on the vacuum and rub the toothed end of the cylinder over your scalp.

Thats cool! I learn something everyday!

Well now that I know the story behind this find, as a picker, I have to pop the question. Is it worth anything?
